You'll receive a just-barely-sweet Riesling from Washington State and a premium, 96-point California Pinot Noir. Green Darner is made with Riesling from Washington's Columbia Valley, where irrigation gives growers more control over grape development than is possible in other U.S. wine regions. This leads to less vintage variation and consistently high-quality results, which you'll taste immediately in its off-dry, pear and apple flavors. Fogbound is one of the coolest, most multidimensional Pinots in our range, with notes of ripe cherry accented by a fresh minerality. It's made with grapes from Sonoma County's fog-laden coast (hence the name), where marine influence extends the growing season and leads to a rich tapestry of fruit flavors. It'll be a sensation with this menu, but would also be a joy to sip solo. Tasting Notes: Green Darner Riesling: This is an off-dry, light-bodied white.
