Pierre Gelin Fixin Clos Napoleon Premier Cru 2022

The old vines of Clos Napoléon yield pure, well-balanced wine with high-toned notes of cherry, earth, and wood spice, combined with depth and length on the palate. This is one of the richer, more structured wines of the Fixin appellation.Pairs beautifully with duck confit or roasted lamb, enhancing its savory complexity and bold fruit profile. An elegant red, yet with no shortage of structure, this reveals cherry, raspberry, iron and spice aromas and flavors. The ripe, refined tannins leave a pleasant coating on the finish. Shows terrific balance and a long, intense aftertaste of pure fruit, mineral and spice notes. Best from 2028 through 2045.
