Les Perchettes demonstrates Berthet-Rayne's commitment to reduce wine additives while enhancing the fruitiness of their grapes. This is a red from Cairanne with no sulphites. It has a beautiful deep garnet red color with a ruby tint. A very expressive and intense nose of red fruits (raspberry and blackberry). The palate is very juicy. The tannins are present, but soft and smooth. Really charming! Robust yet refreshing on the nose, the wine's perfume of fresh rose and violet petals overlays a squeeze of black plum with sweet spice. The palate echoes the nose with a touch more red fruit and licorice root, while silty sandy tannins and bright acidity keep everything lively and focused. Enjoy through 2030 alongside miso-glazed eggplant or cauliflower with sesame.
