Black Saint Peter Reserve is a rich, luxurious Lodi Zinfandel boasting multiple awards, including a gold medal and 92-point score. More importantly for Zinfandel fans, Lodi is home to many of California's oldest Zinfandel vines, affectionately called 'Black Saint Peters.' These gnarled heirlooms yield precious little fruit, but the grapes they do produce are exceptionally concentrated and flavorful. Furthermore, these vines are located in a sustainably farmed vineyard in Lodi's historic Mokelumne River district. The land is certified under the Lodi Rules-an official certification for sustainable winegrowing and winemaking. Crafted from old-vine Zinfandel and aged for six months in oak, Black Saint Peter Reserve is the kind of wine you'll want to serve at a dinner party or other special occasion.
