Louis Latour Pouilly-Fuisse Premier Cru 2022

The nose of the Louis Latour Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru 2022 is intense and complex, revealing notes of acacia, lime blossom, vanilla, and apricot. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with hints of apricot, vanilla, fresh hazelnut, and honey. It has an excellent length. Brimming with white peach, sliced pear and honeysuckle aromas, this is an excellent introduction the new appellation Pouily-Fuisse 1er cru (from 2020). Generous and creamy on the concentrated, medium-bodied palate. I love the long, very elegant finish, where biscuity character, bright acidity and chalky minerality are interwoven. A cuvee of wines from two 1er cru sites with a mix of clay and limestone soils. Although open and creamy, this balanced white also exhibits spicy peach, apple and honey flavors, ending with notes of Marcona almond and spices. Drink now through 2027.
