Appaloosa horse ornament 2007

Associated with the Nez Perce tribe, the Appaloosa was revered for both its fine temperament and its spots, which were thought to have protective powers. this gorgeous rearing blanket Appaloosa is cast in fine bisque porcelain and is hand-painted with a brilliantly colored collar of Native American design. This Christmas ornament was sculpted by Sommer Prosser.
