The Tenuta di Trinoro 2023 Campo di Magnacosta is a 100% Cabernet Franc fermented in stainless steel and aged in a combination of barrique and cement. The wine shows a broader margin of softness and richness that carries seamlessly from bouquet to palate. Aromas and flavors recall blackberry preserves, baked plum and sweet spice, while flinty notes of crushed stone and fire pit ember emerge on the close. Sourced from vineyards planted at a dense 10,000 vines per hectare, this wine balances generosity with structure. This red starts out silky, delivering a beam of black currant, blackberry, cherry and mineral aromas and flavors. Aligned with a dense matrix of tannins, yet overall there's a sense of finesse and harmony. A strong midpalate presence extends to the black fruit-infused aftertaste. Cabernet Franc. Best from 2029 through 2045. Supple and fragrant aromas of plums, blackberries and spices. Medium-bodied, it shows a powerful structure, grainy tannins and refreshing acidity. It deserves time to soften a bit.
