APPLICATION: This firestop sealant prevents the spread of fire, smoke, hot gasses, and water; it is designed for construction joints and through penetrations. It can be used on metal, insulated pipe, fiberglass, plastic pipe, wall joint, power, telephone, and datacomm cables. EASY INSTALLATION: This water-based, non-sag caulking is a heat-resistant sealant that is simple to apply and retrofit; it cures to form an elastomeric seal appropriate for areas with expected dynamic movement. It can be applied from a tube, sausage pack, or pail using a conventional caulking gun, bulk loading gun, or can be troweled directly from the pail. SPECIFICATIONS: All systems are rated for up to 4 hours according to ASTM E814 (UL1479) and ASTM E1966 (UL 2079) test standards; suitable for temperature applications up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. It provides flexible barrier protection, is for interior use, is paintable, is an excellent freeze-thaw caulk, and is VOC compliant.
