White Wine by Koehler Winery from Central Coast, California. A new addition to the lineup, the 2017 Chardonnay is sourced entirely from the neighboring Oak Savanna. It is farmed to exacting standards by Vineyard Manager Felipe Hernandez and is 100% Clone 4 Chardonnay. The unoaked/stainless nature of this wine provides a purity of fruit from start to finish. The aromas are reminiscent of roasted pineapple, fresh yuzu, and Asian pear. Although lithe and lively on the palate, the wine is plump in all the right spots. Notes of juicy nectarine and pithy guava abound. The chardonnay finishes with a well-built structure of brisk white peach and well placed chalkiness.
