Vintage by Ruggeri from Valdobbiadene, Italy. The grapes used for Giustino B. Prosecco Superiore include old vines - some up to 100 years old - from the very best sites and vineyards in Valdobbiadene. It is aged on the lees for a minimum of 8 months and sometimes up to 12, as the winery bottles as needed. The extended aging helps create an elegance similar to Grower Champagne, with tiny, effervescent bubbles and a silky softness, leading to an intense depth of luxurious flavor and a touch of sweetness on the long, yeasty and fruity finish. Giustino B is a vintage Prosecco, originally made in honor of Giustino Bisol's (winery founder) 80th birthday. It is one of the few DOCG vintage Proseccos produced and brought into the U.S. It was so well received that the winery has continued to make it yearly. It has repeatedly earned the highest award in Italy for wine - Tre Bicchieri (3 glasses) and was the first and only Prosecco producer to earn the Stella classification from Gambero Rosso which only is awarded to wineries that have earned 10 or more Tre Bicchieri awards.
