Ahh . . . the holidays. It’s the best time of the year—but can be the most hectic. In the flurry and rush, it can be easy to lose that Christmas spirit we’ve longed for all year. Know the secret of getting it back? A little Christmas competition, of course! We’ve got everything you need to light up your holiday with joy and laughter. Get your friends and family together and throw the party they’ll beg to be invited to year after year with these top five fun activities.
Extreme Home--Christmas Edition
There’s nothing like a little friendly competition to bring friends and family together. Start a new tradition by decorating gingerbread houses together and having someone pick a winner. Make sure to choose a variety of categories such as “Most Creative”, “Best use of Color”, “Most Likely to be Eaten,”—and take lots of pictures!
Build a Snowman
Get outside and get busy building the biggest, best, most ginormous snowman ever made. What? No snow at your house? No worries. Give each participant a bag of cotton balls and a bottle of glue and watch the creativity explode. Just don’t forget the googly eyes.
Decorate and Eat
Let the sprinkles explode! Decorate holiday cookies or tiny Christmas trees by turning ice cream cones upside down, cover with green icing, and adding all kinds of tasty treats on top. From candy pieces to marshmallows, pull out the entire pantry for a sugar-filled rush of holiday spirit.
There’s no better time of the year to break out in song than the holidays. With so many wonderful selections to choose from, it’s even more fun when you try to sing as off-key as you can. Give them an earful with your best rendition of your favorite holiday song.
Have you ever tried to wrap a present in sixty seconds? Thirty? You’d be surprised at how quickly (and how, um, interesting a look you’ll achieve) when you put yourself to the test. Lay down some basic rules like coverage, and bow placement (who says you have to use your hands?) and wait for the laughter to roll in.
Kick those Scrooges to the curb with a fun loving party that will build memories to last a lifetime. Enjoy the season the way it was meant to be—surrounded by loved ones having a good time. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from the merchants at PointShop Mall!
