About Us
The Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race is billed as the "Toughest Sled Dog Race in the World" for a good reason.
Founded in 1983, this race runs from Fairbanks, Alaska to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory (with alternating starts in Whiteorse on odd numbered
years) across 1,000 miles of the roughest terrain in Alaska and the Yukon Territory of
Canada.
The race follows much of the historic Mail and Gold Rush trails that
were used to open up this great northern country, as well as commemorating the
vital role of the sled dog in northern history.
The profits from these merchandise sales are used to support the Yukon
Quest International Sled Dog Race.
