Soapstone heats very evenly. There are no "hot spots", so it's hard to burn foods. It holds twice as much heat and cold as metal cookware, making it very economical and great for serving (your hot hors d'oeuvres will definitely stay hot!). Soapstone must be cured with oil and heat. Once cured, it is easy to care for. This is an heirloom quality piece that will last for generations. Available in 12" and 15" diameter.
