This is a birds-eye view of the lowest in a series of waterfalls to be found at Pewits Nest, a 36 acre State Natural Area in the Baraboo Hills. Here, Skillet Creek flows through a gorge carved out of Cambrian sandstone by glacial meltwaters. This view is of the final plunge pool just before the canyon transforms into a sun-filled glade. From a 4x5 color negative.
