These are the knives most home chefs reach for first. The Chef's Knife and Parer Set is part of the San Moritz Elite collection of Messermeister cutlery. The set features an 8" chef's knife and a 3-1/2" paring knife. Both are fully forged, crafted from a single blank of steel. The comfortable, ergonomic handle is molded to the full tang, which extends through the handle. The seamless passover from the wide blade to the contoured handle features a bolsterless edge, allowing the blade to be sharpened its entire length. The "Elite Edge" is the sharpest forged knife available on the market and the result of years of research of alloys that offer strength and thinning tolerance in the blade. Etched onto this high carbon, non-staining steel is the La Belle Cuisine logo, which signifies our seal of approval. As with all Messermeister cutlery, these knives should be hand-washed and dried and never put in a dishwasher where detergent and heat may dull the edge.
