Boundweave-Level 1 & 2, with Nancy Arthur Hoskins. Are you curious & fascinated about weft-faced patterns & figures in a woven piece? Nancy teaches you how to design, draft and weave those interesting & intriguing loom-controlled figures with "boundweaving" techniques. You will learn how one threading (Rosepath), can create an infinite variety of designs by varying the tie-up, treadling, and color order of the wefts. Good sample projects plus a good foundation in theory and weaving techniques. PREREQUSITES: If you are new to weaving, "Introduction to Weaving" is a prerequisite to this course. If you have woven before there are no prerequisites, but you should have a basic understanding of drafting and weaving plain weaves or twills. Materials needed: A four shaft (jack or rising shed preferred), cotton rug warp, and four compatible colors of medium weight weft yarn.
