For those with prescription eyewear, ESS has the solution. After the lenses have been corrected by an optometrist, either the Wire-Framed Rx Lens Insert or the nylon-framed P-2™ Rx Lens Insert snap into either the Profile NVG™ goggle and/or the ICE™ eyeshield nosepiece for a low-profile, lightweight prescription integration. This allows one prescription carrier to work in two products.

Deciding between the wire frame and the nylon frame Rx Inserts is a question of personal taste. The durable nylon-framed P-2™ is the only Rx Insert authorized for use by US troops, and accommodates a wide range of corrections to +/- 11. The Wire-Framed Rx Lens Insert accommodates a range of corrections to +/- 6, and is the choice of the British Army.
