Made from soapstone that is quarried in Brazil, this pizza stone gives a nice crispy crust to your pizza and breads. It also works well for broiled fish or nachos. Once cured (instructions for curing are included), it should be used in the oven only. Soapstone heats very evenly. There are no "hot spots", so it's hard to burn foods. It stores twice as much heat as metal cookware, making it very economical and great for serving. It must be cured with oil and heat. Once cured, it is easy to care for. This is an heirloom quality piece that will last for generations. Available in 12" and 15".
