French Press Coffeemaker

Call them Meliors, French presses, plunge filter coffeemakers or coffee presses. No matter what they are called, this method of making coffee allows the full flavor of the coffee to permeate your senses. With the titanium-coated permanent filter, there's no need for a paper filter. The titanium filter prevents the flavor transfer that can occur with paper filters. It's also non-corrosive and antimicrobial, naturally inhibiting the growth of microorganisms and bacteria.

Here's how the French press works: preheat the beaker with very hot water. Remove the water and place fresh medium-ground coffee in the beaker. Pour "just off the boil" water up to the top ring. Place the plunger unit on top of the water level and let steep for 3 to 5 minutes. When the coffee is as dark as you like, slowly push the plunger down pressing the grounds to the bottom of the beaker where they remain. Your aromatic coffee is ready to enjoy.

The French press coffeemaker has a cool touch handle, soft touch knob on top, a borosilicate glass carafe that provides maximum heat tolerance, and an insulated lid for heat retention. It is dishwasher safe. Available in a 3 and 8 demi-cup sizes (3 oz. per cup).
